Petition Procedure and Form
Any wrestler wanting to petition onto the Washington State Wrestling Association National Freestyle and/or Greco-Roman Cadet and Junior Team(s) will need to complete the form at the bottom of this page and mail it and $20.00 for each style to:
Send Cashier's checks or Money orders only. Make them payable to
Washington State Wrestling Association or WSWA - NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS
WILL BE ACCEPTED.
This needs to be mailed and postmarked no later than
Petitions will only be granted to those with a valid reason. You should also attach any supporting documentation for the petition. Understand that not all petitions will be accepted. Directors will determine acceptance of petition. All decisions are final.
The challenge matches will be held at a convenient site with a national team coach or designee. That coach will determine site and date.
The challenge match procedures is as follows:
All petitioners will have a blind-draw as to which wrestler they will wrestle in the challenge. After a winner of the petition pool is determined, he will wrestle the 3rd place finisher from the State tournament(s). If the 3rd place winner from the State tournament(s) wins the first match, the series is over. If the challenger wins the first match, then it is a "best-of-three" series.
Note: Washington State residents only! You must physically live and attend school in Washington State.
