All WSWA Coaches,

This year a background screening process has been put in place in Washington State.  The screening will need to be completed every two years. 

All coaches, officials, club administrators, board members, team washington staff and other volunteers are required to complete this process. 

When you purchase your coaches card online, your card will go into a PENDING status and state BACKGROUND SCREENING NEEDED across the card. 

The cost of the background screening is $18.00 

To start the screening process, go to the following website:

MAKE SURE YOU SELECT WASHINGTON STATE WRESTLING ASSOCIATION or you will not show up on my list to get a coaches card approval.

Once you complete all screens and submit the information, your background screening will show up on my list immediately.  It will go into a pending status until the screening company processes and then will change to an approved status.

Once this changes to an approved status, I can then manually process your coaches card and change it from a pending status to a current status. 

This step is completed manually by me so if you have already processed your background screening and it has come back approved and then try to purchase your coaches card and are wondering why it still says PENDING – BACKGROUND SCREENING NEEDED – it is because I have to manually verify each card before it changes status.  It may take me a day or two to get the status and change the card to Current.

Once I process the card, I will e-mail you so you can log back in and print your coaches card.

If you have submitted your coaches card AND submitted your background screening, the process should only take 2-4 days to complete. 

If you get an approval e-mail back from the screening company and I have not processed your coaches card within 2 days, e-mail me at:  SherryBullard@comcast.net so I can look into why you may not be showing up on my list.  In most cases, is because Washington State Wrestling Association was not selected during the screening process and you are on another associations list.  This takes some time to get corrected, so please make sure you select Washington State Wrestling Association from the drop down list during the screening process.
