Background Screening Process:

Member applies for background screening through tclogic.com

Tclogiq completes screening

If nothing is found on list of items of concern, member is approved and member can purchase card.

If something is found, WSWA is notified.

WSWA approves/denies screening results and sends e-mail to tclogiq

Tclogiq sends e-mail to member letting them know they have been denied and gives them letter with options 1) Request further screening in case of error, 2) appeal the ruling or 3) withdraw the screening request member has 5 days to respond to TcLogic letting them know the option they will pursue.

If member wants an appeal, TcLogiq notifies WSWA

WSWA entire Board Of Directors hold appeal meeting and makes final determination (Board is not told names or cities of individuals only charges - this is to keep it fair for everyone involved - Chuck cannot vote unless there is a tie).

WSWA notifies tclogiq of ruling and also sends letter to member

TcLogiq changes status in records

If member does not respond within 5 days to TcLogiq, TcLogic notifies WSWA and member of withdraw

WSWA sends withdraw letter to member

TcLogiq changes status to withdraw in records

If member wants further screening because of an error, the process is repeated by TcLogic and another search is completed.

A background screening is required every 2 years for Coaches, Officials, National Team staff and volunteers, WSWA Board of Directors, Club Administrators and Event Administrators.
__________________________________________________

So far, to date, there have been 345 screenings. 3 have been declined, 3 have been withdrawn by TcLogiq due to no response and 12 are still pending approval (just started screening process) or are waiting for response from applicant to TcLogiq.

That is less than 1% of the screenings that have been declined.

The WSWA cannot comment on any issues with regards to background screenings as that is privacy act data.

Keep in mind that people can post whatever they want on a message board, but it is not normally full disclosure and the WSWA is not going to post on the board whether it is full disclosure or not.
