If you have already chartered your club for the 2006-2007 wrestling season, or the charter is in the mail, please disregard the club charter portions of this e-mail and focus on the other subjects. You should be seeing your insurance certificates via e-mail.

This e-mail is to let you know that Club Charter applications are now available online. Packets will not be sent to you in order to save money on postage. Please get your charter renewal application in as soon as you can as it takes a few weeks to process and we want to get them done early this year.

You can find the club charter application at the following link. There are two club charter application links on the webpage. One is in Adobe Acrobat and the other is in Microsoft Word. Either one will work.

Let me know how many school districts or facilities you will be insuring and I can let you know how much money to mail to me.

If you are only insuring 1 district/facility the cost for the charter and insurance will be $145.00
If you are insuring 2 school districts, the cost for the charter and insurance will be $165.00
If you are insuring more, let me know and I will get you a price.
Make sure you write the school district on the charter application in the box provided and not the specific school.
If your insurance company requires to be added as an additional insured on the certificate (this is additional coverage above what the district already gets), you will find that additional application on the same webpage. It is titled Additional Insurance Application. If you do require this, each school district will be $10.00 each for that application. Only fill that out if your school district requires it.
If you are unsure about how much to pay, let me know what you are sending in and I can tell you the amount before you send it in and we have to issue refunds.

Please include e-mail address on the application so we can e-mail you wrestling information from the state and also the insurance company is different this year and is e-mailing the insurance certificates out so it speeds up the process.

There is a lot of information on the state website for clubs/cards and such under both the 2006-07 Documents Link and the USA Card Information link. A lot of this information was handed out at the Fall General Membership meeting in August. The website for that information is:

All USA Cards must be purchased online by parents/wrestlers and coaches. As a chartered club, you are to ensure that everyone who steps on your mats prior to the first practice, all adults and wrestlers, must have a USA card. Information for purchasing those cards can also be found at the state website.

All sanctions for this year require you to send me a copy of 1 current year's Pairing Official license and 1 current year's Mat Official's license. This is a by-law requirement for your club to host an event. As several clubs know, I have not processed their sanctions they have sent me as they did not send me copies of these licenses. Events this year will not be processed without them. We need your help in building our Mat and Pairing Official numbers in the state.

All Folkstyle sanctions must be to me by the end of this month, October 31st, 2006 to be processed in time.
All Freestyle / Greco sanctions must be to me no later than December 31st, 2006 or your date for your event can be taken by another club in your Region.
All these dates must be met with the required copies of licenses.
Send your Official Applications in now as it takes a couple of weeks to process and get back to you as the end of October is coming to an end.

Currently we ONLY have 4 tournaments sanctioned. 1 is a Folkstyle event and 3 are Freestyle events. Dave Gilbertson will have those posted on the internet shortly.
